Funding and partnerships

AAPDGB is financed through voluntary contributions of its members and partners, including institutional, public and private donors.

AAPDGB operates closely with its partner association ASLUCODIABETE-GB, located in Guinea-Bissau, that provides local support for managing and distributing medicines and medical equipment supplied by AAPDGB to the people.

Over time, the AAPDGB has received funding and operational support from institutions such as the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Service for International Solidarity Office of the Canton of Geneva, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the Ministry of Health of Guinea-Bissau, the Simão Mendes National Hospital, and the Pediatric Center Renato Grande. The municipality of Geneva and several municipalities of the Geneva Canton also contributed and are still supporting the mission of AAPDGB.

In-kind contributions have been received by private donors, pharmacies and partner associations based in Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, and Guinea-Bissau.
